Maria Parham Health Offers Free Prostate Screenings for Prostate Cancer Awareness Month

In honor of Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, Maria Parham Health is pleased to offer FREE prostate cancer screenings on Thursday, September 19, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM. This vital event will take place at Maria Parham Health, and no appointment is necessary.

The American Cancer Society recommends that men aged 50 and older, as well as those at higher risk—such as African-American men and those with a family history of prostate cancer—consider screening starting at age 45. With prostate cancer being one of the most common cancers among men, early detection is crucial and can be lifesaving.
