Maria Parham Health will host its annual “Burgers for Badges” event on Wednesday, Sept. 30, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Maria Parham Health campus in Henderson, offering a free lunch to local law enforcement officers and fire and rescue personnel as a way to recognize and thank them for their service to the community.

The event is open to Maria Parham Health’s community partners in law enforcement and fire and rescue and is designed to provide an opportunity for the hospital team to show its appreciation for the men and women who serve and protect the Henderson/Vance County community.

“Burgers for Badges is one of our favorite opportunities each year to step outside the hospital and personally thank the people who are there for our community when we need them most,” said Bert Beard, CEO of Maria Parham Health. “Our law enforcement officers, firefighters and EMS professionals are valued partners in the care we provide to our patients, and we are grateful for their dedication and service.”

Attendees are invited to stop by during the event for a complimentary lunch and fellowship with the Maria Parham Health team.

“We hope our partners will join us for lunch and, just as importantly, know how much we appreciate everything they do,” said Donna Young, Marketing & Communications Coordinator for Maria Parham Health. “This event is a small gesture of gratitude for the tremendous service they provide to our community every day.”

Community law enforcement and fire and rescue agencies are encouraged to share the invitation with their personnel.
