iRespiratory Care Services at Maria Parham provides comprehensive diagnostic testing and treatment for patients presenting with symptoms related to pulmonary disease, sleep disorders, and neurological disease. Our respiratory therapists are specially trained health care professionals who work under physician’s orders. They provide a wide range of breathing treatments and other services to people with asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), cystic fibrosis, lung cancer, AIDS, and other lung or lung-related conditions.
The Maria Parham team also cares for premature infants and are key members of lifesaving responders charged with handling medical emergencies. Our Respiratory Care Services group employs leading edge technology for the diagnosis and treatment of disease within their scope of services
Additionally, Respiratory Care Services at Maria Parham conducts sleep studies, which look at whether or not patients have sleep apnea or other sleep-related disorders.
Respiratory therapists are available 24 hours.
A doctor of medicine or osteopathy is designated as medical director of respiratory care services.
All respiratory therapist are liscensed and hold the CRT or RRT credetial.
