Maria Parham Franklin has received a Certificate of Occupancy for its Emergency Department renovation on the Louisburg campus, marking a significant milestone in the hospital’s ongoing efforts to expand access to high-quality, patient-centered care for the community.

The renovation includes the restoration of three Emergency Department rooms designed with enhanced privacy and safety, along with additional structural and patient-flow improvements. These updates create dedicated, purpose-built areas that promote dignity, improve operational efficiency, and support a safer environment for both patients and staff.

“This milestone reflects our commitment to investing in the health and well-being of the communities we serve,” said Bert Beard, chief executive officer of Maria Parham Health. “The newly renovated Emergency Department allows our care teams to work more efficiently while providing patients with a safer, more private and more compassionate care experience. We are grateful to our patients and staff for their patience throughout this months-long transition.”

Hospital leaders noted that the improvements also support staff well-being by enhancing workflow and creating a more functional care environment, helping the Emergency Department better meet the needs of Franklin County and surrounding areas.

Maria Parham Franklin remains committed to continuous improvement and to ensuring access to high-quality emergency care close to home.
