Maria Parham Health Welcomes Jason Downey, MPA, PA-C, to Orthopedics Team

Maria Parham Health is proud to announce the addition of Jason Downey, MPA, PA-C, to its orthopedics team, further strengthening the hospital’s commitment to providing high-quality, patient-centered orthopedic care for the region.

Downey is a motivated healthcare professional with more than nine years of experience practicing orthopedic surgery and sports medicine. He brings a proven ability to deliver exceptional patient care in both operative and clinical settings, with experience spanning a wide range of orthopedic procedures and treatments.

Prior to joining Maria Parham Health, Downey served as a Physician Associate with Persons Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Center in Suffolk, Virginia. His clinical expertise includes arthroscopic surgery, casting and splinting, first assisting, therapeutic injections, total joint replacement, and comprehensive patient care.

Downey earned a Master of Physician Assistant degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Virginia, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Old Dominion University, also in Norfolk.
