Maria Parham Health is proud to announce the addition of Reshmi Udesh, MD, FACS, an accomplished, board-certified General Surgeon, to its surgical team. Dr. Udesh brings extensive expertise in minimally invasive, robotic, and foregut surgery, enhancing the comprehensive care available to patients in the Vance County region. 

Dr. Udesh’s clinical focus is on advanced surgical techniques that lead to smaller incisions, reduced pain, and faster recovery times for patients. Her core areas of expertise include:

• Endoscopy and anti-reflex procedures

• Hernias, skin masses, cancer-related surgery

• Gallbladder, colon and rectal procedures

Dr. Udesh is certified by the American Board of Surgery and earned the distinction of FACS (Fellow of the American College of Surgeons). Her surgical training includes a comprehensive General Surgery Residency at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital and prior residency experience at Howard University Hospital in Washington D.C. She earned her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree in India.

Prior to her current position, Dr. Udesh practiced as a General and Bariatric Surgeon at TidalHealth Nanticoke Hospital in Delaware. She also completed a Research Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, where her work focused on vascular surgery and improving perioperative outcomes, with multiple peer-reviewed publications in major medical journals.
