Intensive Outpatient Program
Maria Parham Health provides high-quality, outpatient mental health treatment designed to help adults ages 18+ achieve balance and recovery.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) features evidence-based care appropriate for those who have recently completed a higher level of care or who need more therapeutic benefit than traditional individual therapy can provide. IOP may be recommended by a healthcare provider after evaluation of the patient’s comprehensive mental health assessment of presenting problems, treatment goals and recovery needs.
What We Treat
Our high-quality outpatient programs are delivered under the guidance of experienced, licensed medical and clinical professionals and treat a wide range of behavioral health concerns, including:

- Mood disorders
- Trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
- Substance use associated with mental health issues

What to Expect
IOP is designed to reinforce positive coping skills and teach mindfulness techniques. Structured, small group therapy is effective for patients to develop social awareness, emotional regulation, and social competence. Upon completion, patients receive aftercare planning with community health providers to ensure continued wellness.
