ICU - Intensive Care Unit

Maria Parham’s 8 bed ICU provides comprehensive and continuous care for critically-ill patients. Our holistic approach to nursing care also involves support for families and significant others. This year, recent upgrades, to our cardiac technology, has allowed us the ability to fully support our Intensive Care team of physicians, nurses and other specialists. Our 2-1 nurse to patient ratio allows our ICU team to deliver comprehensive and totally individualized care to each patient. The ICU nurses specialize in critical care nursing with an emphasis on cardiology, pulmonology, neurology and complex surgical cases. Maria Parham's experienced team of nurses, physicians, therapists and technicians, along with our state of the art technology, is ready to care for you and your family should the need arise.

PCU - Progressive Care Unit

Maria Parham features a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) located on the 4th floor, which provides care for patients who require close observation as they transfer out of the Intensive Care Unit. The PCU has the capability of providing continuous cardiac telemetry monitoring. Our Progressive Care Unit holds 27 cardiac telemetry beds which monitors for heart arrhythmias and oxygentation. Additionally, the Progressive Care team has the capability of monitoring additional telemetry patients on either the Medical or Surgical Units.
