Maria Parham Health welcomes Dr. Lisardo Augustin

Maria Parham Health (MPH), a Duke LifePoint hospital, is excited to announce that Lisardo Augustin, MD, has joined their geriatric behavioral health services at their Franklin behavioral health site. Dr. Augustin has over 20 years of experience in psychiatry and joins Maria Parham Health from UNC Health Care where he served as Medical Director and Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry at the Nash and Coastal Plain sites.
Dr. Augustin earned his medical degree from San Juan Bautista School of Medicine in Hato Rey, Puerto Rico. He completed a residency and fellowship program at Beth Israel Medical Center in New York, New York. Dr. Augustin is Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and hold medical licenses in the state of New York and North Carolina. He is bi-lingual, speaking both Spanish and English.
Dr. Augustin and his wife live in Apex and together they have four children ranging in age from nine to thirty-two years old. He also has three grandchildren. When he is not working, Dr. Augustin enjoys spending time with his family, going to church and studying and discussing Christian apologetics.
Maria Parham Franklin Behavioral Health is located in Louisburg, North Carolina at the Maria Parham Franklin campus. This service line offers in-patient psychiatric services to adults ages 55 and older including treatment of anxiety disorders, psychotic disorders, mood disorders, substance abuse disorders and general adult psychiatry.
Dr. Augustin is welcoming new patients at Maria Parham Franklin Behavioral Health located at 100 Hospital Drive in Louisburg. All patients accepted must have a physician’s referral. Referrals may be made by calling 919.340.8780.
