Maria Parham Health Announces 2017 Employee of the Year

Maria Parham Health is proud to announce that Beth Grissom, Nursing System Analyst, is the Employee of the Year for 2017. Each month, the Awards and Recognition Committee (ARC) at Maria Parham review nominations made by employees, volunteers, patients and visitors to determine an employee of the month. Any employee of Maria Parham may be nominated, however, ARC members look for outstanding qualities in the employees chosen including; exemplifying what it means to be an exceptional employee through a specific act or in everyday work duties, volunteering or willingly accepting extra shifts, willing to accept project work or extra duties and fosters positive peer relationships. At the end of the year, the same process is followed reviewing nominations of all employees who won Employee of the Month to determine the Employee of the Year. For 2017, Beth Grissom was chosen as the Employee of the Year.
Beth Grissom has been employed at Maria Parham Health for over 20 years. She grew up in Vance County where she still resides today with her husband, Mike. They have two children, Jessica who is 17 and Justin who is 11. Beth graduated high school from Northern Vance and earned her Registered Nurse degree from Vance Granville Community College. When she is not working, she enjoys watching sports, reading and spending time with her children. When asked what she would like to share with her fellow coworkers, Beth explained, “A smile and kindness goes a long way and we should all incorporate both into all of our interactions with each other.”
