Northern Carolina Surgical Associates is a general surgical practice that provides consultative and operative services in the areas of General, Advanced Laparoscopic, Breast and Oncology-related Surgery. Each of the surgeons is Board Certified, with advanced training in various specialty areas. Each doctor is dedicated to providing you the very highest level of quality healthcare.

NCSA’s physicians will meet with you and your family to explain procedures and recommend treatment plans. They will review the alternatives, discuss the associated risks and benefits, and answer all of your questions.

		Cynthia K. Robinson, MD, FACS Dr. Robinson has worked to serve the patients of Henderson, Oxford and the surrounding communities since 1994. Prior to moving to this area, she worked as a general surgeon at Kings Mountain Surgical, P.A., in Kings Mountain, North Carolina. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology and a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of South Carolina in Charleston, South Carolina. She is board certified as a general surgeon by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Robinson resides in Oxford and has one child.
		Robert F. Noel, Jr., MD, FACS Dr. Noel has worked to improve the health of our community since June of 1999 and is the third generation of Noel surgeons at Maria Parham Medical Center. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree, Magna Cum Laude, from Wake Forest University, and graduated from medical school at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with honors in 1989. He completed his surgical residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle, Washington, including a two year NIH research fellowship in trauma and burn care. He is board certified as a general surgeon by the American Board of Surgery and is a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. Dr. Noel lives in Henderson, is married and has three children.
		Lakshmi Kanth, MD, FACS Dr. Kanth is our newest surgeon at NCSA.  He joined the group in September of 2012.  Dr. Kanth received his medical degree from St. John's Medical College in India.  He completed a general surgery internship at Bronx-Lebanon Hospital Center & his general surgery residency at Grand Rapids Medical Education & Research Center.  Dr. Kanth then completed an additional fellowship at Duke University Medical Center as a part of the Del Stickel Abdominal Transplant Surgery Program.  He is board certified as a general surgeon by the American Board of Surgery & the American Society of Transplant Surgeons.  Dr. Kanth is proud to call Henderson his home.
