Support Groups at Maria Parham
The Stroke Support Group meets the last Wednesday of each month from3:30-5:00pm in the Center for Rehab Conference Room. The group is open to stroke survivors, families, loved ones, and friends. Contact Liz @ (252) 436-1604 for more information.

Breastfeeding Classes - Maria Parham offers free breastfeeding classes at the hospital along with in-home breastfeeding support. Please contact Jackie at (252) 436-1414 for more information.
A Pre-Op Orthopedic Rehab Class is offer to patients needing Joint Replacement Patients Education for patients BEFORE the Surgery. Rehabilitation Services at Maria Parham Medical Center is pleased to offer a class for those who have elected to have Joint Replacement Surgery. This class will cover the surgical procedure and before/after therapy, equipment and exercise needs. This FREE class is offered to anyone who has elected to have shoulder, knee or hip placement surgery, even if you are having it at another hospital. The class is taught by licensed physical & occupational therapists. The class is held on the first Wednesday of every month from 3:30-4:30 in the MPMC Classroom. The Caregiver Support Group meets on the second Wednesday at the 12:00 noon in the inpatient rehab conference room in the Brodie-Waddill Building at Maria Parham Medical Center. This group is open to family members and loved ones providing care for those with acute or chronic illness and/or disability. Bring your lunch and we will provide drinks and dessert.
