Local Author with MPMC Ties Signs Book, Makes Donation
Maria Parham Volunteer Services Department is pleased to announce its next fundraising event. On August 15th from 9:00 AM until Noon, Dr. Bob McCarthy will be in the Maria Parham Medical Center lobby for a book signing of his recently released rural crime fiction novel entitled Quarry Steps Up. McCarthy, who worked as a Clinical Psychologist at Maria Parham for 10 years, publishes under the name 'RJ McCarthy'. This is his first published book and will be available for sale at the signing for $11.99.
A portion of the proceeds earned at the event will be donated to Maria Parham’s Volunteer Services Department. The author says that he is looking forward to greeting former fellow employees at the event, as well as friends, both old and new.
