August Snacks & Facts Focuses on Diabetes

Maria Parham Medical Center will host a FREE Snacks & Facts program as part of its community outreach into Warren County.  The program will be entitled “Diabetes Mellitus: Diagnosis & Treatment” presented by Diana E. Desai, MD, an Endocrinologist with our newest practice at MPMC--Maria Parham Endocrinology.  Dr. Desai will educate the group on the different types of diabetes, some causes, symptoms to look for, and treatment methods that are used.  The event will be held at the Warrenton Rural Volunteer Fire Department on Friday, August 17th from 11:30 AM until 1:00 PM.  Lunch will begin at 11:30 AM, with the educational presentation to follow.  There will be a question and answer session afterwards, along with handouts and giveaways.

Although the event & lunch are FREE, please RSVP to Jeannie at 252-436-1401 by Thursday, August 16th at 4:00pm if you would like to attend, so that appropriate lunch arrangements can be made.
